Sensory Perception Disorder: The Real Deal?

Good article from the New York Times on the newish Sensory Perception Disorder - The Disorder is Sensory, the Diagnosis Elusive. You know the kid who gets slapped with this label. The one who hates scratchy clothing, loud noises, and hugs. Yep, this disorder's gaining attention among psychologists, pediatricians and parents. Only thing is - is this a real disorder? Do we have any evidence of it? Benedict Carey does a good job presenting the current status of this possible officially recognized clinical diagnosis. I'll try to take a peek at some of the research.

What do y'all think?
